Intermediate Mobile Application Engineer

We Want You:

It takes a special kind of person to set out to improve the overall functioning of the software. We want a Mobile Application Engineer who will create new software architecture, work within existing software, and engineer hardware components that optimize certain technology. Are you that special Mobile Application Engineer that we have been looking for?

You will translate code into user-friendly applications. You will also know that deleting code is not debugging. And when you find a bug, you will know it’s not an undocumented feature – as you will collaborate with internal Team Members to develop functional mobile applications, while working in a fast-paced environment.

Your application programming interfaces (APIs) knowledge, must be on par, as you will be tasked with supporting mobile functionality while keeping up to date with terminology, concepts, and best practices for coding mobile apps. We are looking for someone who worries about what doesn’t work perfectly.

 

You Bring:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience with mobile app development;
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in frameworks or languages like ionic, react native, java, swift, flutter, etc;
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services;
  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization;
  • Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git;
  • Understanding of App-stores policies and procedures as well as publishing to stores.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code;
  • Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code;
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks, and fix bugs;
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization;
  • Use and adapt existing web applications for apps;
  • Participate actively in agile practices by collaborating with product owners, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, and other Team Members in such activities as grooming user stories with cross-functional Development Teams;
  • Adapt to change and be open to new ideas and willing to take on new responsibilities;
  • Accept changes to tasks, plans, and procedures to align with the strategic direction of the organization, and appropriately adjust behavior and activities to changing conditions;
  • Make confident, timely, fact-based decisions drawing on a broad range of resources through collaboration with others;
  • Base decisions and evaluations on a careful and systematic review of relevant facts and information;
  • Search for opportunities to create new ideas and innovate or improve efficiencies wherever possible.
