BI Team Lead

We are looking for a leader who has a passion for working on large volumes of data. We need someone who will do more than just talk about it, we need a person that can handle any challenge. As our Business Intelligence Team Lead, you should possess the rare skill of being able to connect the downticks with the upticks.

Being a Team Lead means you will support overseeing work quality and deadlines for the Team. As commander, you will provide in-depth and holistic category and business performance understanding, as well as diagnostics based on internal and external data sources.


You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, other technical degrees, or equivalent practical experience;
  • 8 years of experience in Analytics, Operations, Management, or a similar industry and function;
  • Experience with coding language examples include JavaScript, Java, R, or Python;
  • Experience with SQL and other databases, scripting, or business intelligence tools.


Nice To Have

  • Experience with KPI Management and Quantitative Modelling;
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across business functions and advise on business intelligence and analytics opportunities;
  • Ability to juggle several complex longer-term projects, while also handling ad hoc requests;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


What You’ll Do:

  • Contribute to complex and time-critical analysis projects for senior leaders, by developing a prioritized approach for resolution, and executing promptly;
  • Create, prioritize, assign and regularly follow up on tasks and the advancement of the Team’s work with regards to deliverables;
  • Draft regular reports for the Associate Director (AD) on the advancement of the Team’s work and recommend corrective measures whenever necessary to meet project objectives;
  • Anticipate and recognize potential conflicts and recommend solutions to the Associate Director for the Team;
  • Be a mentor in terms of technical aspects for Team Members (where necessary);
  • Coordinate bug correction as it pertains to the Team’s work;
  • Streamline processes and create efficiencies in the way the various departments and Team Members in the division use applications, technology, and practices to collect, analyze, and present data across business functions – including operations, finance, pricing, and support;
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve data quality;
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed;
  • Format data to identify needs, provide relevant insights, predictive analytics and make recommendations;
  • Offers support to SCRUM Master on SCRUM involvement of the people in their Team;
  • Participate in the domain development strategy;
  • Assists SM in solving potential personal conflicts;
  • Carry out working unit-related tasks (depending on the size of the Team he/she must supervise).
